The Cliffs of Los Gigantes ('Cliffs of the Giants') form a wall of dark volcanic rock plunging into the ocean beside the resort town of the same name.
The waters below are a popular departure point for boat trips, and the surrounding sea is known for resident and migratory cetaceans, making it a well-regarded whale- and dolphin-watching area.
